THE CITADEL FROZEN IN TIME

WHAT TO DO? MY JOURNEY
THE CITADEL

A colorful street in Sighisoara

The clock tower

Another colorful street

Sighisoara, the city of colors. Walking around the citadel is like jumping back in time with its old colorful houses. Take the covered stairs to reach the Monastery Church at the top of the small hill. I visited the clock tower to have a beautiful view of the city and also to see the exhibition and the history of the city on each floor. A good half-day is enough to visit the citadel and its museums.

Entrance price of the clock tower: lei 15 / € 3

AROUND THE CITADEL

A house outside the citadel

Holy Trinity Church

Sighisoara train station

I then strolled around the citadel to discover the city and not just stay at the tourist place. There is a beautiful church by the river, and several houses as colorful as in the citadel. The city is very calm.

I went to Sighisoara after Cluj-Napoca, and I was surprised to see all those colorful houses and this citadel. Very different from the first Romanian city I visited.
